- A flat panel display known as
an Led message display
employs a number of light-emitting diodes as its video display's pixels.
Due to their brightness, they may be utilized for outdoor billboards and
retail signs that are visible in the sun. They are now often employed in
variable-message signs on roads as well as destination signs on public
transportation vehicles. In addition to visual display, Led displays may
also provide general illumination, such as when used for stage lighting or
other ornamental (as opposed to instructional) reasons.
- Traditional projection
screens can be replaced with LED displays because they can provide greater
contrast ratios than a projector. Additionally, LED displays can be
utilized to create big, unbroken video walls without a visible grid formed
by the individual displays' bezels.
- Led message displays can be bottom mounted, top mounted, or installed in a panel or
casing. Displays with top mounts may dangle from the ceiling. The case's
height, breadth, and depth should all be taken into account. Common
features include programmability, configurable typefaces, countdown time
display, intensity control, special effects or animations, and clock
formats. Various scrolling, wiping, twinkling, flashing, pictures, and
animations are considered special effects and can be used alone or in
combination with text.
- They can be used to emphasize
certain textual passages, draw attention to a display, or even give an
extra layer of fun to the presentation of a message. Operating humidity
and operating temperature are significant environmental factors to take
into account when choosing LED displays.
- Character height, line and
character counts, viewing distance, viewing angle, and luminous intensity
are crucial configuration factors to take into account when specifying LED
displays for messages. Another name for character height is pitch. The
size of the message display will depend on how many lines there are. The
term "characters" refers to the amount of characters on a single
line. The minimal size requirements for things that the user must see
essentially influence viewing distance.
- Only lines of text are
displayed on a line display. An array of LEDs that can only be used to
show characters makes up a character display. The digits on a fixed-digit
display are immovable and fixed. The numbers on a ticker display can move
throughout the viewing area.
